Raku: A Night of Instant Gratification
Come to KC Clay Guild to see your pottery fired in the Japanese technique of RAKU!

June 13th...artists critique.
Bring one or two pots to be critiqued by the rest of the group. Don't be intimidated...there will be handouts and a mediator to help all participants in this process. Summer Ceramics for Young Artists~KC Clay Guild will offer 2 week sessions of 4 classes (T & Th or M & W) taught by Art educators. Our sessions are focused on fun & creative themes that let students express themselves creatively.
Wheel throwing...Mondays and Wednesdays...1-3 Paul Storms, instructor Handbuilding...Tuesdays and Thursdays...1-3 members- $75.00 non-members-$85.00 Handbuliding sessions: Every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 weeks (4 classes total)
1-3 PM Dates: June 5-15 or June 19-29 PINCHING OUT NATURE-students will use a variety of forming techniques to create a works of Art. Emphasis will be on hand building clay forms and using textures to create animal sculptures and simple, functional vessels. Kent Waters, instructor July 10-20 FOOD- this session will focus on what you like to eat'! Students will use a variety of handbuilding techniques to create 'food' sculptures and food related vessels. Susan Speck, instructor July 24-Aug. 3 ANIMALS- this session will concentrate on our furry and feathered friends.
