Q: How long have you been doing ceramic work?
A: 35 years.
Q: Who or what inspires you?
A: Nature and movement. I am also inspired by skilled craftsmanship in any medium.
Q: What is your favorite kind of ceramic work?
A: Functional with a sense of playfulness.
Q: How long have you been teaching?
A: I've taught at the KC Clay Guild for over 5 years and I've been teaching at a school for over 18 years.
Q: What skill level do you teach?
A: I enjoy teaching all skill levels.
Q: Do you teach Wheel Throwing or Hand Building Techniques?
A: I teach mostly throwing but I try to include some hand building too.
Q: What can students expect to learn from your class?
A: Student's will learn how clay works and the qualities that make a "good" pot. I encourage exploration of what you can do with clay. My knowledge and experience allows me to show you multiple solutions to problems you may encounter.
Q: What kind of atmosphere does your class have?
A: Loose and friendly.
Q: Is there anything that makes your class special?
A: It's on Wednesday! It's like a mini weekend during the workweek.!
